Artist of the Month

Katie is an Arkansas-based artist with over twenty years of painting experience, creating work that celebrates color, memory, and emotional connection. Her abstract paintings embrace bold, joyful palettes that are often described as “dopamine decor”. They invite viewers to feel before they think. These works are rooted in intuition and play, offering moments of glimmers, fun, and a bit of whimsy.

Alongside her abstract practice, I create commissioned watercolor portraits of homes and buildings, preserving spaces that hold personal meaning. Katie is deeply sentimental by nature, drawn to the stories embedded in walls, windows, and familiar places. Whether abstract or representational, her work is guided by feeling, nostalgia, and the belief that art can hold both joy and remembrance at once.
